Sometimes, some couples are so discrete that when they announce their engagement, you go, "Woah, I didn't even know they were dating!" and occasionally, "Woah, I didn't even know they knew each other!"

I didn't know there was another spelling for 'discreet'. I have used 'discreet' in both meanings!
